      Relationship Management

A Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective borrowers of the bank. The main tasks of the job includes client management, business development, credit analysis & lending, risk management, and cross selling (introducing other banking products like treasury, FX, wealth management). Essentially RMs are the face of the bank to clients and combine sales, finance, and relationship skills to manage and grow business accounts profitably.

 

How has DSP helped in your career or in general?

DSP gave me the opportunity to be with other individuals who had similar goals and mindsets. Being in this type of environment helped motivate me to go for bigger and better opportunities when they presented themself. The org gave me the confidence and knowledge needed to succeed in the business world.

Current Line of Work:

Technical Specialist at the Los Angeles County Office of Education I support enterprise-wide financial and HR systems at the Los Angeles County Office of Education, specializing in ERP implementation, data analysis, and cross-agency collaboration. I manage budgeting processes, configure financial modules, and ensure accurate data integration using tools like SAP, Oracle SQL Developer, Power BI, and Excel. My work helps streamline operations, improve audit readiness, and enhance reporting accuracy across 50+ agencies. By improving system workflows and resolving data issues, I help my team work more efficiently and reduce delays in critical financial and HR processes.

 

How has DSP helped in your career or in general?

My involvement in DSP helped me cultivate the collaborative, resilient, and people-centered work ethic I bring to every team I join. Through DSP, I learned how to lead with empathy, communicate across diverse groups, and stay adaptable in fast-paced environments, skills that have been instrumental in navigating complex projects and driving meaningful impact in public sector operations.
